FAMU Football Raises Intensity On Field

The FAMU Rattlers get back on the practice fields for day two of football practice on Wednesday.

The football team posted a disappointing 3-9 record for 2013, but the players will tell you their focused on this season.

FAMU is not eligible for post-season play due to a below standard academic progressive rate, or APR. They are however, able to compete for a MEAC title.

First things first, the Rattlers are focused on practice, and Jackson State on August 30.

"Really trying to get through practice but they are on the back of our mind, but we are going to work on ourselves right now as it is, and just do what you got to do to be better in any way and any aspect," said FAMU linebacker Kashawn Butler.

"Just focusing on getting back to the basics making sure everybody gets back in a rhythm but we going to get to Jackson State though," said FAMU Safety Rashad Guyton.
