Tallahassee, Florida - March 8, 2012 -
The FAMU Lady Rattlers survived their 2012 MEAC Tournament debut Thursday afternoon with a last second shot from senior star Tameka McKelton.
The 3-Seed in the tourney used every second in their 2nd round showdown with Maryland Eastern Shore Thursday and grabbed a 50-48 victory.
Tameka McKelton scored a lay-up from a well designed in-bound play with just 4 seconds left on the clock.
UMES inbounded the ball with 4 seconds left and saw their desperation three pointer hit the backboard and bounce the Lady Hawks out of the tournament.
The Ladies advance to play 2-seed Howard this Friday at 2:30pm.
