TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (Jan 8) - The Florida A&M Bowling Team garnered a record of 2-3 to finish fourth in day one of the MEAC Southern Division Tournament, here Saturday afternoon at Galimore Lanes, hosted by FAMU.
FAMU picked up 773-755 win over MEAC provisional member North Carolina Central University, in the first match. But then would drop their next three matches to South Carolina State (788-870); Norfolk State (818-988) and Bethune-Cookman (786-913). The Lady Rattlers closed out the day with an 822-798 win over North Carolina A&T.
Jazmin Bingham led FAMU in total pin fall as she recorded 673 total knock downs, while garnering a team high 210 total pin fall in match two. Marissa Moffett was the Lady Rattlers second leading bowler as she knocked down 622 total pins and recorded a match high 180 total pin fall in match one.
The Lady Rattlers will conclude the MEAC Southern Division Tournament with baker play on Sunday, January 9 at Galimore Lanes in an 8:30 a.m. start.
