AMES, Iowa (AP) -- Kelsey Bolte scored a career-high 28 points
and No. 20 Iowa State used a big run in each half to roll past
Florida A&M 85-60 in the Cyclone Challenge on Wednesday night.
Hallie Christofferson added 10 points, while Lauren Mansfield
had 10 assists and seven rebounds for the Cyclones (9-2), now 70-1
in December home games under coach Bill Fennelly.
Coming off an eight-day break, Iowa State struggled early and
missed eight straight shots after Bolte made her first two. Anna
Prins broke the drought with a layup and the Cyclones went on to
hit seven straight shots and 13 of 15 during a 31-10 run that
produced a 42-15 lead.
Bolte, whose previous best was 26 points against Iowa last
season, knocked down three of her seven 3-pointers during the surge
and Prins added three baskets inside.
Florida A&M (4-6) drew to 61-45 on Antonia Bennett's 3 midway
through the second half but got no closer. Iowa State answered with
a 13-0 run that included six points by Jessica Schroll and five by
Bolte to go up by 29.
Tameka McKelton led Florida A&M with 22 points and Bennett
