NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Jan 8) - The Florida A&M Women’s Track Team recorded 14 top ten finishes as they participated in the Ed Temple Classic, here Saturday afternoon at the Gentry Center.
FAMU recorded two first place finishes as Ariel Allen won the 800-meters with a time of 2:20.23, while the Lady Rattlers 4x400 team won the 4x400 relay with a time of 3:55.13. In addition, Allen finished seventh in the one-mile run with a time of 5:43.03.
In the 200 meters, FAMU’s Nakia Linson took fourth place with a time of 25.80 and finished eighth in the 55-meter dash with a time of 7.32.
Nichola Listhrope grabbed a fourth place finish in the 800-meters with a time of 2:27.40 and garnered a fifth place finish in the one mile run with a time of 5:37.10. Also, Listhrope grabbed a ninth place finish in the in the 3,000-meter run with a time of 11:50.01.
Richena Lewis finished eighth in the 200 meters (26.10) and garnered a tenth place finish in the 55-meters (7.38).
LaToya Wright garnered a fifth place finish in the 55-meter hurdles (8.59) and ran a time of 1:00.20 in the 400-meters for an eighth place finish.
Clarricia Golden also recorded two top ten finishes as she took a ninth place in the one-mile run with a time of 5:47.76 and recorded a time of 2:32.81 in the 800-meter run for a tenth place finish.
