But the FAMU Rattlers are back in action this weekend... Let's take a look at why things are looking up for the Orange & Green.

In a world where the end result is all that matters, the FAMU Rattlers are taking strides to make sure the results this season are painted in Orange & Green victories...

At (3-3) On the year, FAMU has been able to counter disappointments against Miami, Tennessee State and SC State with celebrations over Delaware State, Howard and Savannah State... But in order to celebrate at season's end, the Rattlers-- from here on out, must win. And the first test is a road game at Norfolk State.

"We're gonna have to play hard in Virginia. It's their homecoming so we need to be focused on being away from Tallahassee," said FAMU Senior Running Back Philip Sylvester.

Sylvester is 67 yards shy of moving into 5th All-Time in Career Rushing Yardage at FAMU.

"I think we have to play well... Do what we've been watching on film and we'll get the job done," said FAMU Senior Defensive Back Curtis Holcomb.

And with 5 teams in the MEAC bunched together with 1 loss or fewer, the conference crown is clearly up for grabs... After a 31-0 shutout victory against Savannah State, FAMU feels ready to be the last team standing.

Sitting where we are with 1 loss... Those people ahead of us are still on our schedule. No hype needed, no coach's motivational tactics needed. The fact of the matter is just win," said FAMU Head Football Coach Joe Taylor.

"After the loss to South Carolina State, we stuck together, stayed strong and we still very much in the race, still in the race," said FAMU Sophomore Linebacker D.J. Folsom.
