The FAMU women's basketball team hosted Hampton Monday night at the Al Lawson Center... The Lady Rattlers entered the game riding on a 2-game win-streak after victories against Howard and Delaware State.
The Lady Rattlers were on the wrong side of a 59-47 final score. The game also marked the return of North Florida Christian and Tallahassee Comets basketball standout Melanie Warner. Unfortunately for FAMU, Warner scored 10 points for the visiting team and ended FAMU's 2-game win streak.
This marks the 2nd straight year Warner & Hampton walked away from the Lawson Center with a victory for the Blue & White. For the 2nd straight year, Warner's family and friends filled up a section of the gym covered in blue t-shirts with the Warner name along the back of the shirt.
