GREENVILLE, SC. – Florida State women’s tennis finished the final day of the Furman Fall Classic in Greenville, South Carolina with both positives and negatives to be learned from their first tournament of the season.
Freshman Manon Veldman and senior Federica Suess defeated Furman’s Susan Bitetti and Olivia Maurice 8-4 to take third place in doubles for flight number three, while senior Katie Rybakova and sophomore Noemie Scharle fell to Vanderbilt’s Chelsea Preeg and Lauren Mira 8-4 in flight one.
The Seminoles will now return home to Tallahassee shortly before heading out to Malibu, California to play in the ITA/Riviera All-American Championships beginning October 2nd.
Following their trip to California the team will return home to host Auburn, South Florida and Ole Miss in the Seminole Quad Tournament starting October 15th.
