The last time Florida State played the University of Virginia, shutting them out 33-0. Until the 06 break, the Noles had consecutively played the Cavaliers 15 years in a row.. leading the series 13-2. Since then the Noles have played another Virginia team just a few hours south.. Virginia Tech.
So its been three years since they've met and while the Noles record against UVA is spotless at home at 8-0, Its another story when they step into Scott Stadium at just 5-2.
"This is a good Virginia team now, Ive been watching them on film and Ive been impressed. They mix their coverages up, mix their fronts up and they've got some corners that can walk up if they wanna press you and mix their coverages. They're going to be a very, very good football team." says Coach Fisher.
The Noles and the Cavs also share something in common, both ACC teams with first year head coaches.
"They've changes schematically, their a 4-3 team not the 3-4 team, but the coaches they've done a good job themselves." adds Fisher.
With FSU looking to go 2-0 in ACC play and Virginia kicking off their ACC schedule.. this game could go either way.
"Hopefully, we'll be ready to play when we get out, we gonna get up early because its going to be a noon game, we gotta be up early and ready to roll."
