Underneath the Saturday night lights of Doak Campbell stadium the Noles were finally able to pull out an ACC victory after back to back losses to NC State and UNC.
"You know these past three games have come down to nailbiters and im just thanking God we pulled this one out but it was huge for us to get back on the winning track and hopefully it will continue." says Quarterback EJ Manuel.
The defense really picked things up in the red zone with a blocked field goal, missed field goal, and an interception in the endzone.
"That let us know that even in tough situations we can still help our team out and make certain plays and I definitely feel that helped our offense and our special teams out." says Kendall Smith.
But looking back to Saturday night, all of the attention surrounded around Dustin Hopkins and his 55 yard redemption kick to win the game.
Dustin Hopkins adds, "I felt it off my foot, it felt pretty good, about half way it I thought it was starting to fade left and I was just hoping, I was willing it to the right, and once I saw it was going to be good I Sean jump up and start yelling I just took off running... I didn't want to be dog piled... there are some big dudes out there."
But there was a celebration none the less after a must win game to keep the Noles in the hunt for an ACC championship.
