Tallahassee, FL - "We're so proud to have this back in Tallahassee and for it to be the last BCS Championship Trophy we're just ecstatic about it," said Jeremy Spring, FSU Fan.
Many FSU fans lined up outside of Winn-Dixie Friday afternoon to get their chance to take pictures with the BCS Coaches' Trophy. It was the same trophy that FSU hoisted after they defeated Auburn 34 to 31 in the BCS National Championship game.
Winn-Dixie staff said they rearranged the entire store to get ready for the influx of folks to see the trophy. "This store is screaming Seminoles. it's screaming champions. I just appreciate my team and we're just excited to be apart of it," said Ken DeBerry, Winn-Dixie Store Manager.
All year long the BCS Coaches' Trophy has made stops at marquee games across the country. It's made of Waterford Crystal and is worth $30,000. "So we take it to 50 different games we do about 60 to 70 appearances a season, so it all culminates here at the championship market after the game," said Ray Mallouk, BCS Trophy Manager.
Seminole fans have been waiting for more than 10 years for the crystal football to make its way back to FSU's campus. "It's great for the school it's great for the program. I love this school To have the last National Championship Trophy brought back to Tallahassee, it's a wonderful thing," said Clark Waltke, FSU Fan.
The BCS Coaches' Trophy will be on display tomorrow at the Walmart on Tennessee from 10:00A.M. to 2:00P.M.
