Florida State's Christian Ponder is banged up after last week's tough win against Boston College and now has a bye week to heal.
There's no question about whether Christian Ponder will play in Thursday night's game against NC State. His latest injury, a burst bursa sack, may have kept him from throwing a few days in practice, but its nothing to worry about.
"Its a little sore, but I kinda think its becoming a blessing in disguise, its actually made my mechanics better, which is hard to believe, its making use my core more which I kinda got away from this year, so actually this week, Ive been throwing the ball better than I have before." says Christian Ponder.
And over the past week, FSU's quarterback has taken all the necessary steps to help him heal as much as he can.
"I was stuck in the treatment room like 24/7, doing all kinds of treatment there, went and saw a lymphatic specialist, she did a really great job, gave me some techniques to help the swelling go down."
There is always the possibility it may happen again on Thursday, but ponder, the coaching staff, and the medical staff are all prepared.
"I mean if i get hit on it I'm just it will swell up again, but the good things is we've gone through the process and know how to deal with it."
