Tallahassee, FL - Mike Martin spent the preseason uncertain of how his Seminoles would perform. After all, there were 15 new faces added to the club.

Now 12 games into the season, the 'Noles are undefeated. Their next test is in the conference.

"Now we're playing a bunch of teams that won't make mistakes, maybe, that some of these clubs that we've played recently have made," Martin said.

Evidently, the 'Noles have taken advantage of those teams mistakes. They're averaging nine runs per game.

"We're seeing the ball good as a team and laying off the bad pitches and swinging at good pitches, so that's a recipe for success," sophomore outfielder Josh Delph said.

It's not Florida State's offense that was a concern to the team. The Garnet and Gold has six players hitting over .300.

"We're playing pitching and defense and that's what wins ballgames," freshman outfielder D.J. Stewart said. "That's what coach says everyday. The hitting's going to be there but pitching and defense we're doing a great job of."

Delph and Stephen McGee both hit their first career home runs in the Presbyterian series. Delph says the team is feeling comfortable and confident as they head into Boston College starting on Friday.
