Tallahassee, FL -- Florida State basketball, defending ACC champions, already showed what it has on the dance floor, will now showcase it's vocal talents.

The Seminoles will sing the Florida State Alma Mater at Spear-It Night.

"I didn't even know we had a song like that."

"We're not going to be on any type of shows, there's no doubt about that, they're not going to invite us to be on "The Voice", or any of those new shows that are looking for super talent, but it's a way of showing school spirit."

For about the past two weeks the team has practiced, learned the words, and even had a voice coach come in and help.

"You know we have a lot of great singers, a lot of guys who can't sing at all. We're all about equal right now."

"It's easy to go out and play basketball and do something we love but when someone asks us to sing, it's different."

One thing that isn't different, their competitive spirit to win tonight.

"We want to compete, just like we're competing for an ACC title."

"You're in your comfort zone, you have your confidence for basketball, but you have to take the same confidence into singing too."
