With three weeks till Florida State tips off a fresh basketball season, the 'Noles were checking out the new design of their home court, and anxiously awaiting for a chance to play on it.
FSU sophomore guard Michael Snaer adds,
"I like it, I can't wait to get practicing on it. I know it's going to feel a lot better on the legs, having a little spring in it, some dance spots and everything. I'm excited."
Media day is something that this roster is familiar with. Instead of a freshman or sophomore rich team, seven juniors or seniors will suit up in the garnet and gold this year.
FSU senior guard Derwin Kitchen adds,
"Most of the good teams that made the deep runs in the NCAA tournament and ACC tournament, they used to be juniors and seniors. I came in and everybody is still here. We have juniors and seniors basically on the team with two transfers."
FSU junior guard Deividas Dulkys adds,
It's really exciting. I'm excited for the season because we all have been here, we've lost some tough games and we don't want to do it again. Last Gonzaga game was tough. Now we're going to be better than that."
FSU junior forward/center Xavier Gibson adds,
"We've all been around the corner a couple of times. We know what the different atmospheres are like and know what teams are throwing at us, what are weaknesses are, our strengths are. Know of a better direction we are going right now."
Which will come in handy this year. Duke, Florida, Ohio State, and North Carolina will pay a visit to the capital city in the coming months.
