It's a rivalry that dates back 1951. Since then the Hurricanes and the Noles have competed back and fourth year after year. Its a rivalry that with almost anyone you ask, holds a memory.
"I mean when you go back, the players that have played in this rivalry, to the plays that have been made in this rivalry, to the implications of the game that have been made in this rivalry. " says FSU Head Coach JImbo Fisher.
" The whole intensity of the rivalry, It was always one of the biggest games of the season, and they're always close " says Christian Ponder.
"When I started getting recruited I did start watching more football, and I did watch Florida State Miami every year back in high school, My dad grew up in South Carolina, and when we talked football it was always Florida State, Florida State, Florida State. " says Zebrie Sanders.
"Anytime you play Florida State at home there are going to be a lot of Florida State fans here, Theres going to be a lot of University of Miami fans here." says Miami Head Coach Randy Shannon.
Currently the Hurricanes leas the series 31-23, The Noles coming off their second straight ACC win, the Hurricanes heading back into Sunlife Stadium after being on the road for a month.
Saturday night both teams will be looking to get a win.. and add another chapter to the Florida State Miami history book.
