Tallahassee, FL (AP) - Florida State football coach Jimbo Fisher's $950,000 pay raise is coming from media and public relations commitments.

The finalized contract released by the university Wednesday shows Fisher will receive an additional $525,000 annually for his radio and television obligations and another $425,000 boost for speaking engagements and public relations appearances. He is now paid $925,000 annually for radio, television and media obligations and $1.1 million for the public relations and speaking engagements.

The base salary for the second-year coach remains at $225,000.

The new five-year deal that runs until January 2016 is worth $13.75 million, nearly $5 million more than the five-year, $9 million contract Fisher signed a year ago.
