Tallahassee, FL - The 2013 Major League Baseball First Year Player Draft came to a close on Saturday with four more Seminoles selected on the third and final day of the draft. A total of five Florida State players were chosen in this year's draft including Stephen McGee, who was taken on day two in the ninth round by the LA Angels.

Joining McGee as the Seminole draftees in 2013 were Peter Miller (16th rd, 484th pick – LA Dodgers), Marcus Davis (24th rd, 718th pick – San Diego Padres), Robby Coles (28th rd, 836th pick – NY Mets) and Scott Sitz (28th rd, 846th pick – Detroit Tigers).

Quoting the 2013 Florida State draft class:

Stephen McGee, Jr., C – 9th round (277th overall pick), LA Angels
“I am just ecstatic. I can’t really explain it. This is the first time that I have been drafted. It’s awesome; it’s a dream come true.”

“I was actually at a movie when I found out. Luckily it was right at the end of the movie when all the calls, emails, text messages and tweets started coming in. I had talked to the Angels prior (to the draft). Actually, I talked with one of their scouts when we played down at Stetson earlier this year. I knew they were looking at me but I had no idea when I was going to go.”

Peter Miller, Jr., RHP – 16th round (484th overall pick), LA Dodgers
“It’s exciting (to be drafted); it’s been a long journey. I am definitely excited but I’m just trying to focus on finishing this year off first before I even worry about the draft. It was a complete surprise to be selected by the Dodgers.”

Marcus Davis, Jr., OF/DH – 24th round (718th overall pick), San Diego Padres
“I was happy to see my name come across the screen. I’m grateful for the opportunity. I just want to thank the Padres for giving me this opportunity, so we will see what happens. But there is still some work to be done in Tallahassee.”

Robby Coles, Jr., RHP – 28th round (836th overall pick), NY Mets
“I am just happy to have this opportunity. I’ve been in contact with the organization so it wasn’t a surprise that they picked me. To be honest, I was more surprised just to be drafted because it is such a big thing.”

Scott Sitz, Sr., RHP – 28th round (846th overall pick), Detroit Tigers
“I actually didn’t see my name pop-up as I was in the shower after today’s game. Hunter Scantling was actually back in Tallahassee for today’s game and he was the one who told me Detroit drafted me. This is something that I have worked my whole life for; I’ve never been drafted before so I am really excited about it.”
