Moore Communications Group Press Release

Tallahassee, Fla. – In celebration of the first 2013 Florida State University home game, CollegeTown LLC and the Seminole Boosters are inviting the community to join in the beginning of its newest tradition – the War Path, which leads a group of excited community leaders and FSU fans from CollegeTown to the Unconquered Statue at Doak Campbell stadium.

The Marching Chiefs’ Drum Line will kick start the War Path by playing on stage at CollegeTown, followed by a performance by the Golden Girls and an appearance by the Garnet and Gold Glitter Guys.

Each game, honoree Grand Marshals will be named to lead the War Path to the Unconquered Statue. DeVoe and Shirley Moore, CollegeTown investors and FSU philanthropists, will be the first Grand Marshals, carrying a spear and leading the War Path before the Seminoles take on the Wolf Pack. The Drum Line will play Seminole Uprising while garnet and gold beads are thrown to tailgaters along the path. The new War Path tradition will serve to intensify Seminole enthusiasm leading up to each FSU home game.
