TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) -- After successive fourth place finishes
in the Atlantic Coast Conference, Florida State coach Leonard
Hamilton believes the Seminoles are ready to move up notch or two.
The 62-year-old coach heads into his ninth season at Florida
State with the nucleus of a team that has gone 47-20 the past two
seasons but was eliminated both years in the first round of NCAA
tournament play.
Hamilton is confident that this year's team could be his best
one yet at Florida State. It will be the deepest and certainly
tallest with four players scheduled for regular action ranging
between 6-9 and 7-foot.
The home schedule features homes games against defending
national champion Duke and a nonconference visits by Florida and
Ohio State.
