Tallahassee, FL -- A lot has changed at Florida State since J.D. Drew wore the 39 jersey for the Seminoles.
"Ultimately, it feels like being at home. I spent a lot of years here and followed the team before I even played here so it's cool to come back and watch."
J.D. was in the stands Tuesday night for Florida State's game against Florida. He said it was his first trip back to watch a game at Dick Howser since his younger brother Stephen played.
"Just photographs and things that come back up that you forget but when you see those memories it's neat to see. I still have a lot of good college friends, a lot of great college memories playing baseball here
As for his professional career.
"I am not officially anything. I am just officially on a break. If you consider that retirement then yeah I guess it is. I haven't had a lot of interest to play. I'm looking forward to life after baseball and carrying on the second half of my life which is ultimately a lot longer than playing the game of baseball. I didn't have myself set one way or the other. There was some interest early on and I didn't really get aggressive on pursuing it, that's for sure."
