TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Senior Drew Kittleson saved his best round for last to earn a share of the individual title and Florida State shot three-under in the final round - good enough for third place - at the Seminole Intercollegiate Sunday at Southwood Golf Club.

The Seminoles shot two-under in their final round but finished three-under par 849 for the tournament, which was five strokes out of first and two strokes out of second place. No. 18 Arkansas won the team title finishing eight-under 844 in the 18-team field. Kennesaw State (847) turned in a top performance in the final round shooting eight-under 276 to take second place. No. 35 North Texas (850) finished fourth while Houston (865) finished fifth.

"It was good," said Kittleson about his final round four-under par 67. "We're definitely disappointed in our performance. We fought hard. The weather kind of caught us off guard the first day with this being Florida. We don't see our golf course play like that very much. The last two days we played well and hopefully it will continue. Third place isn't exactly what we want but it's a step in the right direction."

"Today I felt like if we would have played like I know we're capable of playing, we would have won the golf tournament," FSU head coach Trey Jones said. "We still had a great round out of Drew. Drew gave us a chance to win. Bjorn our freshman played three solid rounds and got a top 10 finish which is what he needed. Brooks [Koepka] being one of our better golfers just came out and had a bad round of golf. For most teams to be good and win golf tournaments, you can't have one of your best players not count in the final round. It's going to happen so we need to be a little deeper to help cover that."

Kittleson tied for the best score of the final round. His four-under par 67 put him five-under for the tournament and gave him a share of the title with Arkansas' Sebastian Cappelen and Kennesaw State's Jeff Karlsson. Kittleson started off the day with a birdie on hole one. After shooting par on the next five holes, she registered five consecutive birdies on holes 7-11. He was four-under par 32 on the front nine.

"We knew if he ever got his putter going he was going to shoot a really low number," said Jones about Kittleson. "He actually shot that today even with calling a penalty on himself on the sixth hole. Otherwise, he would have had six birdies in a row. He came out today and played a really good round."

Freshman Bjorn Hellgren and junior Brooks Koepka joined Kittleson in the top 10. Hellgren put together another solid round shooting even par and finished one-under par 212 for the tournament to earn a tie for seventh. He was two-under after the turn going into the final nine holes.

Koepka tied for ninth place. He finished even-par 213 for tournament after having a tough final round which saw him shoot three-over par 74. He was one-over after making the turn to hole 10 but shot two-over par on the back side.

Senior Kyle Cobb carded a two-over par 73 in the final round to tie for 29th place at six-over par 219.

Junior Wesley Graham shot his best round of the tournament shooting even-par 71 on the final day. His nine-over par 222 landed him in a tie for 43rd place.

FSU's Joaquin Lolas, Tyler Sluman and Doug Letson posted solid scores while competing as individuals. Lolas shot one-under par 70 to tie for 29th. Sluman shot even-par 71 and tied for 38th place. Letson tied for 75th place after shooting two-over par 73.

Florida State returns to action Mar. 27-29 at the Linger Longer Invitational in Greenville, Ga.
