The Lady Noles head into Thursday's game against Clemson with a perfect ACC record...but things will be a little different, as they leave their garnet and gold jerseys hanging in the locker room and taking the field in another supporting color.
"You know I don't think that there is anyone out there today that hasn't been affected by cancer, in this case more specifically breast cancer, and we're all passionate in supporting the campaign, the Paint it Pink campaign and the cause." says Coach Mark Krikorian.
The Noles have shown their Pink Pride for over 2 years, and have been successful in the past two match-ups. For these players and coaches, being successful in the Paint it Pink game is more than just a win for them, it's a win to help the cause.
" We look forward to supporting all the folks out here and hope the research can find a cure."
As the Noles join the fans in the fight for breast cancer awareness, they know they can't let their guard down..
"Especially for it being at home, you know this is our home, that's always the mentality, you know we need to defend our home, our backyard." says Senior Rachel Lim.
"Clemson is a good team, they are a well coached team, very disciplined in the way that they play, and they are going to come in here hungry for three points." adds Coach Krikorian.
