TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) -- Christian Ponder threw for 221 yards
and three touchdowns Saturday to lead No. 22 Florida State to a
31-7 win over Florida that snapped a six-game losing streak in the
series by the Seminoles.

Ponder connected with Rodney Smith, Taiwan Easterling and Willie
Haulstead on scoring plays covering 39, 15 and 29 yards
respectively in his final home game.

The Seminoles (9-3, 6-2 Atlantic Coast Conference) put the game
away with a 21-point second quarter, getting three touchdowns in
just over nine minutes to take a 24-7 halftime lead.

Florida (7-5, 4-4 Southeastern Conference) was hurt by four
turnovers and didn't score after their opening drive that was set
up by Andre Debose's 62-yard kickoff return. The touchdown came on
a 21-yard pass from John Brantley to Robert Clark.

I'd say it's 50/50 about the locker room deal. But 100% TRUE FSU ARE THE STATE CHAMPS! Like Michael says,we should all be Thankful to All the coaches assistants as well as the whole team. I really agree with all he says,I'm ashamed I didn't say that the first time. I thoughtit just didn't say it.

Is there any truth to the "rumor" that UF players trashed the visitors locker room at Doak?

It is with great pleasure to say THANK YOU Coach Fisher and all of the Assistants along with a BIG THANK YOU to the FSU Football team. Wow, what a year, after losing the OU game most fans quit on you, but some of us stayed loyal and look where we are now. Not only we are STATE champs, Division champs and a strong possibility of being the ACC CHAMPS in one year. Yes, we owe Coach BOWDEN a big big THANK YOU for all he did for our University and football program. HE WAS THE ONE TO RECCOMEND COACH FISHER. Aren't you glad he did, now look folks we have a tough game ahead of us. Virgina Tech. isn't going to be easy. That's why our football team need our full support. Be proud you are a SEMINOLE fan, wear our colors, show the country who we are. We are the SEMINOLES OF FLORIDA STATE. Mow Shadow lighten up, most of us knows the history of Coach Bowden. Coach Fisher is off to a very good start and we need to support him 110%. Win with Honor, take what you can, give nothing back. GO NOLES

YES,Bobby put FSU on the map. But PAUL is right,Ponder did hold us together for the last four years. He kept us from falling off the map. Now, we have Jimbo, who is going to put us smack dab in the Middle. right about JIMBO first year. From the first I have said to give this team a chance. I knew even tho they were "young team" we WERE CONTENDERS. I COULD HARDLY WAIT TO TELL THE NASAYERS. II TTOOLLDD YOU SSSOOO!!!!! Go NOLES!!!!

Hey FSU fan: What did bobby do his first year at FSU? Now leave the comments to those of us that are not mentally challenged.

Bobby who is your question, what a shmuck you are. He is only the man that built this program and put FSU on the map. Sure he fumbled towards the end, but that man is a legend in college football. If you consider yourself a true Seminole fan, then shut your pie hole and show some respect. Nothing against Jimbo, I think he is a great coach, but he has a long road ahead to achieve the same status as Bobby Bowden!

Hey "shadow" - you're an idiot. Bobby is the one that put FSU on the map. Look it up - or can you read?

Christian Ponder has held the Noles together for four years, while a great leader was needed most.
