Tallahassee, FL - You can feel the pain seething out of EJ Manuel's mouth. The heartache of last Saturday's loss to NC State almost too much to think about.
"It was tough. The plane ride home was extremely tough because, like I said, you play it over in your mind and you're just like 'man.' There's nothing you can do," Manuel said.
The senior quarterback hated talking about it, but couldn't stop thinking about it.
"There's a lot of plays that we should've made and we didn't," he said. "It makes it hurt even more."
When Jimbo Fisher reviewed the film, he was encouraged by what he saw.
"Hindsight's all 20/20," Fisher said. "I don't regret any of the calls. I regret we didn't execute some of the things we did and we gotta play better."
The Seminoles were in the redzone four times, but only reached the endzone once.
"They put a lot of pressure on our offense and we didn't make 'em pay," Manuel said. "I think it's not the reason we lost, but it's one of 'em."
"We have to continue to focus and understand the attention to detail in all games," Fisher said. "I think that comes with maturity and we'll keep pounding and sellin the message and keep with the process."
The 'Noles are regrouping to prepare for Boston College this Saturday in Doak Campbell Stadium at 5:30 p.m.
