Miami, FL (AP) - Florida State and Miami are renewing their intense
rivalry -- this time on the basketball court.
The Seminoles (13-5, 3-1 Atlantic Coast Conference) go after
their third straight ACC win when they visit Miami for a 9 p.m.
Florida State played two of its best games in succession in
quite some time last week with an upset of then undefeated,
top-ranked Duke, followed up by an easy win over North Carolina
State. Florida State hasn't started 4-1 in ACC play since the
1992-93 season, when the Seminoles advanced to the Elite Eight
before being eliminated by Kentucky.
Miami (12-5, 1-2) got into the win column in conference play
with a 72-71 victory Saturday over Boston College.
Florida State swept the series last year.
