Tallahassee, FL - The Seminole basketball teams are giving back this holiday season.
The ’Noles will partner with ECHO Outreach during the Thanksgiving season and the U.S. Marine Corp and their “Toys for Tots” campaign during the Christmas season. Fans are encouraged to bring a canned good with them to the Women’s Basketball game this Sunday, November 21st vs. Vanderbilt and the Men’s Basketball game on Tuesday, November 23rd vs. Mercer. All of the canned goods will be donated to the Tallahassee community to help feed the less fortunate.
In the month of December the teams will join forces with the United States Marines to collect toys. Both the men’s and women’s teams will ask for your help on December 15th as they both have home games that day. The women take on UCF at 6PM followed by the men against Stetson at 9PM.
“Florida State Basketball is combining their efforts during the holiday season to give back to the local community,” said FSU Assistant Director of Marketing Drew Longenecker. “Our fans have been extremely generous in the past during our numerous charity initiatives and we expect more support from them this year.”
Representatives from ECHO and the Marine Corp will be on hand during their selected games to pick up the numerous donated items.
