GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) -- Chris Singleton had a triple-double with
22 points, 11 rebounds and 10 steals, and Florida State beat North
Carolina-Greensboro 97-73 on Sunday.
Okaro White and Michael Snaer had 16 points apiece for the
Seminoles. They shot 51 percent (35 of 68), hit seven 3-pointers
and never trailed in starting 2-0 for the sixth straight year.
Florida State had 20 steals and turned 26 UNC Greensboro
turnovers into 32 points.
David Williams scored 16 points and Aloysius Henry added 15 for
UNC Greensboro (0-2). The Spartans fell to 1-33 against Atlantic
Coast Conference teams.
Florida State scored the game's first six points as part of a
17-6 opening run, a burst capped by White's layup barely 7 minutes
in. Luke Loucks' 3-pointer with 10 1/2 minutes left in the half made
it 22-10 and put the Seminoles up by double figures to stay.
