TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) -- March 30, 2011 --

Florida State is getting some attention for its basketball program after its third straight NCAA tournament appearance.

Over the last half dozen seasons under coach Leonard Hamilton,
Florida State is 131-69. In the last three seasons the Seminoles
are 70-31 and 31-17 in the ACC, trailing only traditional
powerhouses Duke and North Carolina. The Seminoles -- who finished 23-11 this season -- have earned a bye in first round ACC tournament the last three years.

The Seminoles inch a little closer to that magical season every
year, missing out on reaching the NCAA quarterfinals for the first
time since 1993 when they lost to Virginia Commonwealth 72-71 in
overtime last weekend in the NCAA's Sweet 16.

But with a veteran team returning, Hamilton is confident that
better times are ahead.
