Tallahassee, FL – August 16, 2011 -
For one lucky fan, the highlight of Covenant Hospice’s “Tailgating With a Purpose” will come at the end of the evening, when the winner of the Spear-It Prize Drawing is selected. This year’s grand prize includes four tickets to the FSU vs. Oklahoma football game, a football autographed by Coach Jimbo Fisher, a stay at Hotel Duval, and a gift certificate to Shula’s. The tickets were donated by Albritton Williams General Contractors, also a sponsor of the event. Tailgating With a Purpose will take place from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday, August 27 at Langford Green outside Doak Campbell Stadium, and the drawing will be held at 7:45 p.m., although fans need not be present to win.
Proceeds of the drawing and the event will support Covenant Hospice’s unfunded programs in Franklin, Gadsden, Jefferson, Leon, Liberty, Madison, Taylor, and Wakulla counties. Covenant Hospice is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing comprehensive, compassionate end-of-life care to patients and their families. “We are grateful to Albritton Williams for making this drawing possible. Their generosity allows us to fulfill our mission,” said Lydia Claire Brooks, Development Manager for Covenant Hospice.
