MIAMI (AP) _ Matt Treanor (TRAY'-nor) singled home the
tiebreaking run and Miguel Cabrera added a two-run homer as Florida
dumped the Chicago Cubs 7-4.
The Marlins blew a 4-2 lead before Treanor delivered in the
fifth inning. Cabrera gave the Marlins a three-run cushion with his
34th homer of the year.
Jeremy Hermida poked a two-run single as the Marlins beat the
Cubs for the ninth straight time.
Derrek Lee hit a solo homer and Jacque Jones had three RBIs for
the Cubs, who came from behind twice before falling.
The Marlins secured the victory by blanking the Cubs over the
final five and two-thirds.
Logan Kensing tossed two hitless scoreless innings of relief to
get to 2-and-0. Lee Gardner finished for his second save.
Jason Marquis fell to 12-and-9 with his first loss since August
