The boys of Nascar enter the heart land this weekend with goals of mixing it up on the Kansas Speedway. It's a pretty routine oval-shaped track that favors those with the better cars. A bit narrow, it'll be all about who can get their engine pumping right out of the gate.
"Having a good race car, it all boils down to that on the mile and a half tracks...preparation in the shops are big," says Clint Bowyer.
"It's a little bit narrower than these other tracks... that's about it," adds Kurt Busch.
For Carl Edwards, there's no place like home in Kansas. After moving up two spots to number six in the standings, the hometown boy hopes to put on a show for the local crowd.
"Kansas will be a lot of fun, I love going there...to be able to drive to the race track from my home, it's pretty cool," says the Kansas native.
Already in their third race into the chase with Talladega up next, the boys of NASCAR are putting the pedal to the metal with hopes of moving up the standings as they enter the heart of the Chase.
