VSU Victorious

VSU head football coach David Dean says, "We fumbled a quarterback sneak on the goal line. We had an open receiver he threw short. He dropped the ball. We had several opportunities to score in the first half and we just let them slip away."

The Blazers with a slow start for the second week in a row. This time against Oauchita Baptist, but leave it to special teams to crank up the heat. Roger King put up the first touchdown with an impressive punt return. King says, "I was amazed by how big the hole was. I had a great block from Kenny Hale and the entire punt return team blocked their butts off.

Michael Terry shows all the right moves in the second half. He scores two touchdowns, rushing 181 yards, holding the most by a blazer since 2002. Terry says, "I don't really pay attention to statistics. I just want to win a national championship. To me this game we played was okay and I didn't really do what I should have done. I missed a couple of blocks.

The Blazers were unstoppable in the second half. They stay undefeated with a 31-3 win over the Tigers.
