If we've learned anything about FAMU from this past weekend's
Atlanta Classic, it's that we should expect the unexpected... But I'll admit, I didn't expect Tuesday's breaking story... Starting quarterback Albert Chester, Jr. is leaving the team.
That's right, the 5th year senior has been taking the most snaps over the previous 3 seasons, but announced Tuesday that he's calling it quits... Chester confided this to the Tallahassee Democrat about 30 minutes after practice... Chester, a pharmacy major, announced his decision less than 72 hours after FAMU's thrilling 1-point victory over Tennessee State. The QB was still slated to start this Saturday against Winston-Salem State in the Circle City Classic, but obviously with Tuesday's events that role now falls on Leon Camel. We'll continue to follow this story as more information becomes available...
