FSU Ready to Face Amato's Ex-Team

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) _ Chuck Amato was more than just a bit
happy to come back to Florida State to work with his old boss after
North Carolina State fired him last year.
And Bobby Bowden is just as happy he doesn't have to play his
longtime assistant anymore.
While Amato may not have won enough to satisfy the hierarchy at
North Carolina State, he took the Wolfpack to four wins in their
last six games against Bowden's teams. The barrel-chested,
raspy-voiced Amato was easily Bowden's biggest nemesis at North
Carolina State, who play the Seminoles on Saturday.
But winning means Amato will be scheming to shut down the
athletes he recruited for the Wolfpack (1-4, 0-2 Atlantic Coast
Conference).
Amato cried after handing Florida State its first ACC home loss
in 2001. So he knows it will be difficult coaching Saturday against
the players he recruited.
