Pack up the luggage and break out the grill and tent, the Rattlers finally return home to play in their home opener this Saturday.
FAMU senior cornerback Qier Hall adds,
"It feels great to be at home. We want to play in front of our fans and show them the Rattlers defense, and show how the Rattlers will win this MEAC championship."
FAMU junior linebacker Alvis Graham adds,
"It's good to see the people watch us. All the family, all the friends, the fans. Being at school, being at home. It's a great feeling."
FAMU junior wide receiver Bryan Tymes says,
"I'm happy to play in front of my family, my friends, classmates. Professors have talked about this. It's just the talk of the campus."
For four straight weeks the Rattlers played away from Bragg Stadium and in that time won two and lost two games. The two wins were conference games, and have FAMU in first place in the MEAC.
FAMU head football coach Joe Taylor adds,
"It's good to be home. Bragg Stadium needs to be packed. These young men deserve the support of this community and we're looking to get back on track."
FAMU sophomore wide receiver T. J. Lawrence adds,
"I'm really amped up and excited for this game, and if you're not, then I don't know what's wrong with you."
The orange and green have historically played well their first games of the season inside Bragg Stadium. Since 1999, the Rattlers are (10-1) in home openers.
