High School Football: A View from the Sideline

This season the view from the sidelines is looking pretty good for many Tallahassee teams. We kick things off with the undefeated Godby looking to take on Chiles and continue their winning streak. British Footman, Godby's star running back, says, "Honestly I don't think Chiles has enough to beat us but we can come in cocky some games and that could be our reason to lose. As long as we keep our mind right and don't beat ourselves, we should be alright."

Now to another team looking really good. The Lincoln Trojans with only one loss against a really good Wildcats team up in Valdosta. They now take on East Gadsden at Home. Kyle Rice, Lincoln's head football coach, says, "They've not had the success in the win loss column. But they've got a good football team and we certainly expect them to come out and play one of the best games of the year."

Another exciting match-up as two former FSU players coach against each other. This time the game is going to be held at Leon High School for the first and only time this year. North Florida Christian comes to Leon. Bill Ragans, Leon's head football coach, says, "It's always a big game when we get a home game. Here at the high school it's kind of a special game for me. I'm coaching against one of my former teammates and we are looking for a big time Friday night." North Florida Christian head football coach, Casey Weldon, says, "So much tradition there and just to go there and it will be a great environment to play in"
