South Carolina State (3-3, 2-1 Mid-Eastern Athletic) gained 402 of its 611 total yards in the first half to take a 35-7 lead at halftime.
William Ford led the Bulldogs with 142 yards rushing on 13 carries and had a touchdown and Jonathan Woods ran for 126 yards. Oliver Young caught six passes for 93 yards.
The Rattlers (2-4, 1-2) were held to 198 total yards. Philip Sylvester led Florida A&M with 31 yards rushing, while starting quarterback Leon Camel was 5-of-16 for 52 yards and two interceptions and backup Eddie Battle completed five of his seven passes for 54 yards and a touchdown.
The 611 yards allowed by Florida A&M were the most in school history.
