We continue to hope for a Rattlers vs Seminoles match-up on the hardwood, but as of now, it's yet to come. The good news is that this year we get to settle for the next best thing, as tonight the Noles take on the Blazers.

The game will be hosted in Tallahassee, but don't sleep on the Blazers making it into a game.

They have some Division One talent such as Korey Spates, a junior who averaged 10.1 points a game as a freshman at Purdue.

Then there's 6'7 forward DeVario Hudson who led the G-S-C last year with 9.4 rebounds per game. Once again, the Blazers bring some real talent into the season, and tonight they tip off with a FSU squad loaded with talent.

"I think the Gulf South is probably one of the best division two conferences in the country. Although, our conference did lose a lot of key players, everyone is gonna reload. I think that's the great thing about our conference. With us, I hope we're right there at the top competing for a championship," says VSU Head Hoops Coach Mike Helfer.
