The Blazers are good. How good? Well at 8-1, they have every shot of making the playoffs and from there, a national championship could be on the horizon. There is just one obstacle in the way before we get to the playoffs, and that is inter-state rival West Georgia.
The good news is that they aren't all that scary. Their conference record is just 1 and 6, and they are fresh off losses to North Bama and Delta State.
However, the match-up is the G-S-C game of the week for a reason. It's a rivalry game, which means that anything can happen.
"Well, it's special. I've been here a long time, this is my fifth year, I've enjoyed every moment of it, this year has been even more special and for this to be my last regular season game, it means a lot and the situation that we're in, to get ourselves up for a playoff, is even more special," says VSU center Davis Russell.
