FAMU Rattlers Are Set for Tip Off

An exciting day to be a Rattler fan as the men's basketball team is set to debut this season at 7:30 PM.

It's tough to say what to expect, this is a squad that won the MEAC Conference a season ago, before falling in the play-in game for the NCAA Tournament.

That type of success doesn't usually lead to much change, but a tumultuous off-season has led to Eugene Harris being brought in to replace head coach Mike Gillespie, and star senior Rome Sanders has graduated leaving the offense wide open.

Carver College is opponent number one for the Rattlers.

"First game here at Florida A&M will be a tough game for us because, number one, we don't have any film of the ball club, and number two, I have only had the staff with me for the last three days, I've been doing this by myself, it's going to be a challenging game," states first year coach Eugene Harris.
