Tallahassee Fighter Josh Odom fresh off being released from his International Fight League contract was back in the cage this past weekend in Tampa Bay. Odom threw fists with RFC Champ James Edson Berto and lost a tough decision. Odom did however give the Champ quite the fight. Also, came close to getting a heel lock submission, but Berto was able to escape out of it. Up next Odom will have to see a doctor to attend to his torn shoulder and do some healing as he begins coaching the Tallahassee Warriors of Bonecrunch Fighting. Odom is expected to return to the cage in March, or as late as April.
"He went for my legs a couple times and I really worked on defending that the last six weeks. Felt good about the fight, wish I could have pushed it a little more, but I prepared as much as I could so no excuses." Says Odom.
