The Syrupmakers Are Ready To Pour It On

I hope you're getting ready for the Friday Night Blitz, because there is plenty on the line this weekend.

One of the many teams in our area that will be hosting are the Cairo Syrupmakers.

They host Benedictine after a sensational 9-1 season, including 5-1 in the region.

For the Syrupmakers it comes as a little bit of a surprise when you consider that they lost Super 6 Cameron Wade last season on a team that also had one loss on the regular season.

"We had a successful regular season, the kids went 9 and 1, this season's only loss to Thomas County Central, who is a big rival, we ended up winning the region championship, we went 5-0 in our region, we're proud of the way the kids are playing right now," says Cairo head football coach Tom Fallaw.
