Sarasota to Lose MLB Spring Training?

PHOENIX (AP) _ Goodyear, Tucson and Casa Grande hope to hit a
home run and land the Cincinnati Reds for future spring training
games.
The Reds' current stadium is in Sarasota. Voters there last week
rejected a ballot proposition that would have spent 16 million
dollars on stadium upgrades.
With the White Sox preparing to move to Glendale, Tucson is in
need of another spring training team.
The Sox are teaming up with the Los Angeles Dodgers in a
spring-training ballpark that Glendale hopes to open in 2009.
It's up to the White Sox to secure their replacement in Tucson.
The Sox are not commenting and the Reds won't say whether
they'll stay in Florida.
Goodyear wants a second team to join the Cleveland Indians, who
will move there from Florida in 2009.
