TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) - Bobby Bowden brought in a new offensive coaching staff this season, but wound up with the same mediocre results.
And Florida put the exclamation mark on the Seminoles' bewildering year with a 45-12 spanking over the weekend. The 33-point differential is the most since a 53-24 whipping in Gainesville in 1983.
Bowden said "We've got to recruit. Come up with some (Percy) Harvins.''
Harvin, the all-purpose Gator star hit the Seminole defense for 223 yards and a touchdown, but was just part of the problem.
Despite playing with a broken right hand for most of the second half, Florida's Tim Tebow embarrassed the Seminole defense. Tebow added another five touchdowns to his Heisman Trophy resume.
