The Valdosta State Blazers returned to the grid-iron this weekend, and after a big win, they will do so again this Saturday at 1 P-M.
There was some rust evident in their performance against Catawba on Saturday.
Willie Copeland who had missed a great deal of practice nursing his bruised ribs got picked once and was held to under 200 passing yards.
However, the Blazers went into the locker-room trailing by 3, and after some adjustments by the coaching staff, the Blazers smoked Catawba 42 to 13 in the second half.
"It's all about coach Dean and the coaching staff and their game plan. They got one of the best second half adjustments I've seen that did a lot for it, and our special teams, our kick returns put us in good field position, and I think that was the cause of it," says VSU Running back Michael Terry.
