NFL Star Dies After Being Shot

MIAMI (AP) _ Washington Redskins safety Sean Taylor died, a day after he was shot at home by what Miami-Dade police say was an
intruder.

Family friend Richard Sharpstein says Taylor's father told him the news around 5:30 a.m. Sharpstein calls Taylor's death a "tremendously sad and unnecessary event.'' He says the 24-year-old NFL star was a "wonderful, humble, talented young man, and had a huge life in front of him.''

Taylor died early this morning at the hospital where he had been airlifted after the shooting.

His father and a family member are at Taylor's house in the Miami suburb of Palmetto Bay but both declined to make additional comments.

Doctors had been encouraged last night when Taylor squeezed a nurse's hand. But Sharpstein says he was told Taylor never regained
consciousness after being transported to the hospital.

some people call thmeseleves saved, and christans, how can you call yourselves children of god and jugding people,,what about only god can judge me? Or forgive and forget? Or better than that..there's something you done in your lives people don't know about, but if they did...would it be fair for them to jugde you? Even though it was years ago and you changed you life now, but I guess only christans and children of god have that privilege.

TOO BAD I can't believe you even said that. what he has done in his past is just that (his past).I'm sure you have things in your past that makes you a bad person to others or things that you regret. What matters is that he was turning his life around and had a child that will have to grow up without him.People like you that can't let the past be the PAST needs a life of their own and not be judging those who have moved on from their past and making a better life for themselves and family. YOU NEED PRAYER!!!!!!!!!! God bless the family Sorry for your loss!!

What goes around comes around. Look at all the great things this guy has done. Late hits to hurt people, pulling guns on people. It is sad for the family, but the NFL and the world is a safer place now
