TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) _ Isaiah Swann's 15 points led a balanced
Florida State attack as the Seminoles took a 75-61 win over
cold-shooting Minnesota Tuesday night.
The winners had four players in double figures, including senior
guard Ralph Mims, who sang the National Anthem before the game.
Mims scored 13 points and grabbed a team-high eight rebounds.
Florida State (6-2) led 38-32 at the half and expanded its lead
to the finish while handing the Gophers (3-1) their first loss
under new coach Tubby Smith. Smith left Kentucky this year to try
and resurrect Minnesota's basketball fortunes.
The difference was at the free throw line where the Seminoles
hit 27 of 32 shots while Minnesota was just 6-of-10.
