Every once in a while you encounter a player who might not have the athletic gifts, but offers the extra effort. Nothing has come easy for Godby's graduate D.W. Green, but he has taken everything he can out of the sport of tennis...
And these days he is giving back. Now a tennis instructor, we saw DW at FSU helping raise some money for the program.
He recently earned the state wheelchair player of the year near Jacksonville.
It's no longer about proving to himself how much he can achieve, but showing everyone that there are no limits for a passion to compete.
"Because I love trying to show people, people in wheelchairs can be doing the same thing that anybody can do. It's the only sport where regular people I can compete with often and on a competitive basis," says D.W. Green.
