Lowndes early TD. strong defense blanks Camden County

The Vikings (13-1) will play next week for the championship
against North Gwinnett, which earlier beat Walton 31-7. Lowndes has
won four state titles _ two in Class AAAAA and two from AAAA.
Demps took a toss from quarterback Khary Franklin then connected
with Reid for the 23-yard score in the second quarter to give
Lowndes a 7-0 lead. That's all the Vikings needed as the defense
recorded their fourth shutout of the season, holding the Wildcats
(12-2) to just 29 yards on offense in the first half.
Even when Camden County defensive back Michael Green got an
interception midway through the fourth quarter to set them up with
good field position, Lowndes stood strong defensively en route to
its victory.
Darriett Perry, who finished with 115 yards on 10 carries, had a
56-yard run in the fourth that set up a 24-yard field goal by Mark
Willis to give Lowndes enough cushion.
